AUGUST – GUARDIAN OF STAND STRONG

Motto: Stand Strong

August is the eighth Guardian of the year.

In Tolvoria, she watches over the world at the height of summer, when everything that began beneath the winter ground has grown strong. July has carried water through the warm season, and now the fields, trees and plants are reaching maturity.

August gathers the strength of summer into the growing world. But her most important task is helping what has grown become strong enough to endure — strengthening stems, ripening seeds and preparing the living world for the changes that will soon begin.

She knows that true strength is not about never bending, but about having roots strong enough to remain standing.

When August’s work is complete, the strength she has gathered can be passed through The Heart of the Year, preparing the year for the patterns of change ahead.

KEEPER OF THE RIPENING EARTH

Every year, August brings Tolvoria’s growing world to maturity. Beneath the late-summer sun, seeds ripen, fields become full and everything that began small carries the strength of the season within it.

“What has been given time to grow will learn how to stand strong.”

August is one of the Twelve Guardians of Tolvoria, each responsible for something the next Guardian needs.
